Analysis of Remorse
Skye Walsh 2001 (Salt Lake City)
Tender spots and aching hearts.
You shot me dead,
Bleeding through the
blinding shiny snow,
melting to the ocean shore.
All you are now is
the color of remorse
Wonderful and mystical,
never felt it at all.
to fire flies in white daylight
Drinking through the
Wispy tipsy gin.
Locked away in my head again
now their inner light is,
the color of remorse

About this poem
Betrayal will forever kill one’s desire to forgive the unforgivable, no matter how sorry they seem. From pain, euphoric strength of rediscovering one’s passion for life is born. Yet, pain and pleasure shall always be funny cycle.
