Analysis of On planet J35U5

Charles Fields II 1955 (Fort Bragg, NC)

Who’s to blame?

Unimaginably complex
DNA confusion

What started this ball rolling
and got this
catastrophic wave in motion.

Set us upon
a collision course with destiny,

brought about this...
Chain reaction of events

we are being swept into
Like clouds
are drawn forth by wind

Do you ever, even wonder
how did this all began?

As we do daily compromise
the integrity between us

Our damage control teams
are professional
Adaptive and concerned.

Just that our coping strategies
are not always compatible,

To get us through
the spam of events

we share inadvertently
In our day to day lives

that show we really are

Capable, intact...
In fact, on tract

Enlightened individuals,
awakened to a loving sanity

we care about the ones
we claim, to love,

good thing the sun

doesn’t have to figure
out when to shine.

The moon rides its tract
held in its place since birth,

having an influence,
no doubt

by virtue of delicate balance
in orbit around the earth.

Who gave it reason
to turn the tides?

There is no Conditional reality
between you and i

Despite, the fact when we follow
our assigned tasks Through,

currently, we see them differently
And too…

the basis of methodology
of pursuit Are as varied as our views.

That we entertain
notions of compliance,

becoming mutually reliant
Even, while in defiance

against conventional wisdom
Is remarkable...

Beyond the intellectual hurtles

Are the emotional undercurrents
upon which we define our boundaries

between friend and foe...
How we keep our friends,

just close enough
to keep one another company,

undefined, yet still aligned,
for purposes known and unknown

A fraternal bond which may?
Or may not ever Be explored,

further than at present
Hopefully, not to be taken,

too far beyond The breaking point
to be naturally restored

or fading so far back into obscurity
below the threshold

of the more familiar background noise
Comfort zones we adjust to

when we have
one another full time

You ask me?

What in the name of heaven
Makes me tic-toc, talk, and walk

And why do... I do the things i do
The way i do and do not do on time

What you might do
when and if you are so inclined

You ask me if i even care
i shrug my shoulders

And gently make gestures
of bewilderment

Pray tell... When i have
that answer

You'll be among
the first to know

After i do the math
front, back and sideways

To ensure it is always the truth...

It's said, there's a light
At the end of the tunnel

Just when,
will we see?
