Analysis of Like a blade of glass
In the past
What we had strikes me
Like a sharpened blade of glass
You meant the world
But now I hurl
At the simple thought,
Of how I let you make my world twirl
To say I don't miss you,
Is truly a lie
But I definitely don't miss the pain and demise
I thought you were the one
But I was truly wrong
And now the bell tolls telling me we're done
The summer we spent,
I will never forget
But now you live in my mind
In eternal torment
Said I was too close
Said I held you too dearly
But now I lay to sleep
My body weary
The pain you have brought
I have not sought
But now it's the end
Of you're play on my mind
Oh how you made it bend
Now I shall move on
Us a memory
But I will never forget
The pain you caused for me
For it is in the past
I thought it was surely to last
But now I know it was fake
And in the end you slithered along,
Like a snake
Now when you rest your head,
Upon your bed
I hope you look back
And realize what we had
For there is no rewind
And we cannot playback time
And I am quietly at peace
With your memory
It is not fair
For I wish I could been the mer
But now I see we were not meant to last
And everything we had,
Is in the past
