Analysis of Everlasting tears
Marie Ward 1981
Strong woman don’t share their tears
Strong woman help others before themselves
Strong woman hide their scars
Strong woman don’t ask for help for themselves
As I sit and let the water run over me
It dripped down to wash the tears
One by one down over the eye lashes
I can watch each drop fall with my tears
Into the bottom to leave a ripple behind
Pain of all kinds has existed since I can remember
Pain flows each day leaving behind the traces of my mind
Like the drops and ripple falling and lingering
Nothing is permanent except the pain and tears
Only to leave a scar that nobody sees and hears
