Analysis of The Cycle
Joe Strickland 1986 (Hobbysville, SC)
The years,
They come and go,
Rolling by me evenly,
Steadily measured.
Reminding me of all the time
That has passed
With each toll of the bell.
I'm older now than I was before,
And still younger than I'll ever be again.
But this is nothing unusual.
This cycle is simply quite casual.
After changes
Upon changes,
We see,
That we are more or less
The same ultimately.
Our experiences
Shaping,
And molding
Who we are,
Leaving our own unique scars,
Our badges.
