Analysis of Charles and Becky

Charles, an elderly man with a heart of gold
His wife Becky, slowly losing memories to hold
Dementia's grasp is getting stronger
His love for her, nothing could conquer

They've been together for six long decades
Through thick and thin, their love never fades
But now they face their toughest hurdle
Becky needs a home, a nursing care bubble

Charles dreads the thought of being apart
His heart aches, his fears start
He knows he can't leave her alone
But how can he sell everything they owned?

Each item in their home has a story
A memory, a moment of glory
From their first dance to their last
Their love story, strong and vast

He can't imagine life without her
It tears his soul, it makes him shudder
But then he heard of a place
A nursing home that will embrace

Him and Becky, together they can stay
Their love will never be taken away
But to get there, he must sell their home
Each item he parts with, he feels alone

The rocking chair where they snuggled tight
The china that they used every night
Each item sold is like a piece of Charles' heart
But he has to do it, they can't be apart

He'll take Becky with him, no matter what it takes
Their love will conquer all, no mistakes
Together they'll live, and love will grow
Until the end, when they must go

Charles will hold her hand as she fades
Her memories gone, but their love still stays
Their love story will forever be told
Of Charles and Becky, pure love, pure gold.
