Analysis of OCTOPUS STEW

timothy michael gorski 1967 (New Jersey)

Under the sea, in the coral and sand,
Lives an octopus, with eight arms at hand.
He's clever and smart, the brain of the sea,
Solving puzzles and problems, just watch and see.

He's got three hearts, that's two more than you,
And he's got no bones, he's flexible too.
He can squeeze through tight spaces, a trick you might try,
But I wouldn't recommend it, you might get stuck and cry.

He changes his skin color to blend with his scene,
Camouflaged and hidden, a masterful scheme.
He can even regenerate, grow limbs anew,
It's a skill that we humans just can't do.

He's creative and sly, with an appetite so grand,
Eating crabs, shrimp, and fish, on demand.
And watch out, fellow octopus, he'll eat you too,
He's not picky at all, he's quite the foodie, it's true.

So if you're ever out swimming, and spot an octopus in view,
Don't be scared, say hello, he might just like you too,
In his next octopus stew.

Meet Tim Gorski, a man who has been directing and producing epic adventures since 1999. He's not your average filmmaker, but a gutsy storyteller who knows how to bring to life tales that matter. From award-winning animal welfare stories to human tales, and wildlife conservation pieces, Tim's works pack a punch that will leave you breathless. With a debut film that took on the entire marine mammal captivity industry, Lolita—Slave To Entertainment in 2003, Tim showed the world he was not afraid to take on big challenges. The battle against captive orcas lasted several years and set the stage for a movement that would eventually free marine parks from their grasp. If that wasn't enough, Tim went on to be the field-producer and lead cinematographer on At the Edge of the World in Antarctica, a cinema verite documentary following the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society in pursuit of the Japanese whaling fleet. The film premiered at the 2008 Toronto Intl. Film Festival and eventually became the impetus for Animal Planet's acclaimed Whale Wars. As an educator in film, animation, and animal welfare, Tim has taught for over 10 years in the USA, Thailand, and Taiwan. He's also a trained animal rescue specialist and has coordinated several natural disaster rescue efforts in the USA and abroad. But Tim's adventures don't stop there. He's explored every single continent, working closely with many animal rescue shelters, and wildlife conservation organizations. He's even conducted research and deep undercover investigations of illegal wildlife trafficking across SE Asia. In 2014, Tim developed a 12-episode series for Nat Geo China - Bonding With Giants, connecting Chinese millennials with wildlife in Africa. In 2015, he filmed the Tour of the Dragon, a 280 km mountain bike race across Bhutan, for the Olympic Committee and Bhutan's royal family. In 2016, he produced several shorts in Kenya, showcasing the beauty of its wildlife. Tim is a true adventurer, a man who isn't afraid to take on big challenges and explore the world in search of stories that need to be told. So if you're looking for someone to take you on an unforgettable ride, look no further than Tim Gorski. more…
