Analysis of Tryst with Truth

I love you Jesus
Love you. I will start with this.
Each day I am confident
Of your Compassion.
Courage. Calm.
Caretaking.
Coaching.

There is not a place for
Self-confidence
Self -serving
Self-absorption.
Self-reliance.

You have shown often
The folly that develops
From knee-jerk solutions.
Old wives’ tales.
The norm of this foolish
Society surrounding.
And stupid.

Yes, I will stay with you.
Give me Grace to persevere.
To learn and
To appropriate your Wisdom.
Your Mind and Agenda.
The scriptures say that
It is possible.
That you prayed for it.

I shut up now.
Perhaps you have a whisper or two.
I love You.
I also finish
With that…Amen
