Analysis of In the Night
The world becomes a blissful shadow:
The adults are finally arriving home
The teenagers are finally allowed peace
The children are finally told bedtime stories.
But what about the fear lurking in the night?
The darkness hovering over the world when the Sun falls:
The adults are scared for the future generation of kids
The teenagers are scared of growing up and moving on
The children are scared of going to school.
But the truth always reveals itself in the night.
The planet is destroyed, and there's no way to fix it.
The adults are broken and pass their traumas onto their children.
The teenagers are suffering and collapsing under the pressure of school.
The children are no longer the hope.
In the Night.

About this poem
I wrote this poem to talk about the truth of the world and what happens in the night. I specifically chose "In the Night" as the title because it starts as the peaceful times of the night and then switches to the dark truths that are hidden in the night.
