Analysis of In The End
I’m staring at the remnants of a garden once abloom
At the disappearing blossoms of an orchard draped in gloom
I reminisce on vibrant hues of dazzling floral show
As wilting buds remaining yield to vigor’s greatest foe
I’m staring at the dusking sky at end of summer day
At the disappearing sunrays as they bow to twilight’s sway
I reminisce on days of grace awash in brilliant light
As fading beams remaining lose their battle with the night
I’m staring at the embers of a fire burning low
At the disappearing pulse of cinders barely still aglow
I reminisce on dancing flames ‘twas once a scorching blaze
As dying sparks remaining lose their might to chill’s embrace
I’m staring at the shadow of a once vivacious man
At the disappearing fortitude for life’s uncanny plan
I reminisce on love and hope, belief in future’s scheme
As dwindling faith remaining cedes to living’s tragic theme
In the end I’ll walk the grove and miss the flowers’ smell
Long for sunny skies of blue as daylight bids farewell
I’ll crave for warmth of bonfire as cold of night descends
And wish again for dreams anew as life of hardship ends
