Analysis of She Comes
She comes to me and I am hollow
Husk and dust upon the floor
Wilting now, forsake tomorrow
Save the pain forever more
Alas! Her beauty bore right through me
Gentle lightning so consuming
As so light my darkness, truly
Baring all for heav'n to see
Here I stand, now, sin to reason
Rapt in her, I heed the season
Make appeal to God, I plea: "In
Love or lust, I dare to be!"
She comes to me with sweetest promise,
Where my broken heart she stole
For to kiss and heal and fill
She comes to me and I am whole
