Analysis of An Insight of Grief

December ripped my heart out
The seventh to be exact
God took my best friend home for good
Now it’s my brother that I lack.

They say time will make it better
And that I’ll one day be okay
But they didn’t lose you like I lost you
So unexpectedly taken away.

We had plans for the next morning
Just like we always would
But god’s, I guess, were bigger
I would have saved you if I could.

I’ve cried until there are no tears
I’ve prayed to bring us peace
I’ve been mad and sad and missing you
And this pain, it does not cease.
