Analysis of I’m sorry i couldn’t change you”

I’m sorry I couldn’t change you,
We met the 21st of August
You weren’t even amazed
You just disappeared like glue
Better yet, you were very much unphased

A few years later you're still not there, I see
Nowhere to be found no bond created
No biological father there for me,
But yet again i’m sorry I couldn’t
Change you when I tried to tell
You how I felt I was ignored

My feelings don’t seem to matter to
You, multiple kids later and I’m not
Much to you but yet again
I’m sorry I couldn’t change you not even
A little bit, I have everything I need to begin.

I’m not even mad that you're not
There because all I need is my mom
I’m blessed and have more than everything,
All the places you said you’d take me

You didn’t take me; you’ve never done
Anything for me, you were gone 5 years
When you came home it felt like
You weren’t even there like you were still gone
But then again i’m sorry I couldn’t change you
I just changed my way of thinking about you.
