Analysis of The Day God Called Your Name
The Day God Called Your Name
We did not know when we awoke,
what grief was on the way,
Had no idea that God had said,
“You are coming home Today”…
A moment changed our lives for good,
you were gone without a word:
Speechless, shocked we listened,
to the news we had just heard…
So many things were left unsaid,
so many plans unraveled;
The years now just a memory,
that together we had travelled…
One day we hope to see your face
Hold you in our warm embrace
In a land that knows no tears,
Where loss is something no-one fears

About this poem
My husband passed so suddenly and unexpectedly, it brought such emotions to my children and me. He is still in our hearts, loved and remembered everyday
