Analysis of In every heart, a battle rages on...

Ellie Karnage 2001 (Hell)

In every heart, a battle rages on,
A struggle between right and wrong,
Within our souls, two forces vie,
The angelic good, and the devilish sly.

A tug-of-war, a war of wills,
The fight for balance, the climb uphill,
Some days it seems the angels win,
Other days, the demons within.

The good seeks to guide us to the light,
To do what's right, to aim for flight,
The evil seeks to drag us down,
To make us falter, to spin us round.

Yet, in the midst of this war so old,
Lies the true value, the real gold,
The freedom to choose how we act,
To choose the path we will enact.

Yes, the struggle in our soul's repose,
But choose we must, as every soul knows,
The road of good, or the path of sin,
It's up to us to let the light in.
