Analysis of Now did Mom advise against speaking to this Old Stranger?
I see the little boy
Is looking straight at me
His Mother prices items
At the Grocery.
A Saturday job of years
And I some people meet.
The Oldsters want a talking-to.
So dismissive on the Street.
And now this Boy with Mom
An action figure gripped.
It slips and falls down
Neath the milk
And bags and bags
Now cover It.
He looks at me.
Might I tear up so that
He might recover?
And in a flash
I do the task, no biggy
For this staffer.
He thanks me much
A new friend gained.
He seeks me out thereafter.

About this poem
A real event at my part time job. Little boy had no qualms about talking to this stranger. His Mom allowed it.
