Analysis of Here We Go
Kurt Harris 1975 (brooklyn)
Lord i stand before you
Even though i have not been kneeling before you
But my silent cries i have shed before you
You have wiped away my tears when it felt like nobody else cared
You have strengthen my fears when nobody else was there
i have been judged
i have been bullied
i have been hated
All because of the way i was created
i have been spit on by those i gave my love too
i have been stomped on
i have been trampled over
Which caused me to feel like a stampede of wild bulls running over me
Because of you i still continue to stand
Because of you i still fight to move forward
Facing every bit of obstacle that stands before me
Though i fight to keep these fears under control
These visions i keep seeing
As the world turns
My body feels like i'm on the wrong escalator
Going backwards as i fight to go forward
i'm a witness
i'm a testimony
i'm a survivor
You've allowed my heart to continue to pump this generic bloodline to keep me alive
i've learned some valuable lessons
As i continue to become greater
i hold my unconditional confessions
i surrender to you
Just want to scream out
I LOVE YOU
Thank you for being my lifeline every time i felt i was about to drown
Thank you for blessing me to stand on solid ground
So many times i felt my lungs taking it's last breath
i've opened my eyes to change
To become a better human being
Though i still am afraid
Though i still hold these fears
As i look into this reflection
Repeating to myself
" Who Really Cares "
i thank you for those you've bless with me
Your army is getting stronger
As these enemies still thirst for my hunger
Blindsided in the unexpected ways
i still cry
Releasing my confessions
i was judged because i was going down the wrong path
Even though many times those blessings were in the palm of my hands
i'm still being judged because of the changes i made
What a world we live in
So many times you've forgiven me for my broken sins
So i'll continue to praise you
Whether who likes me or not
Because i don't live for them
I live for you
i survived because of you
i know who stands with me
i know who stands against me
False witnesses shall not rise up against me
The battles are overwhelming
This mind of mines collapsing
Pushing through the barriers
Here we go again
in Jesus name
