Analysis of Grant’s Star
I love fast,
I love hard.
My love is vast,
My love reaches far.
My love is never ending,
My heart continually beating,
My love never pretending,
My heart is never retreating.
I have so many around me,
But none are close.
My heart is free,
Yet forever alone.
I wish I could see,
Why it is so…
Why is my heart always alone.
So hurtful,
Loving can be.
Why can’t they see the heart in me.
My love will always be there,
No one else’s love can compare.
So why do they stare,
At another heart that mistreats theirs.
My love burns bright for all,
But brighter for few.
My love,
All I want is you.
My love radiates joy,
but don’t treat it like a toy,
Or else my heart,
you will destroy.
My love can always be seen,
Every morning,
To every evening.
Just look to the sky,
That’s where you’ll see me.
After I’m gone,
My love will still be there.
After I’m gone my love will be everywhere.
After I’m gone, will you even care?
Will you be aware?
Will you say a prayer?
Will you feel despair?
Honestly… you probably won’t care…
Why does love have to be so unfair…
