Analysis of SATURDAY MORNING CARTOONS

mad hippie poet 1974 (new jersey)

We sit inside my bed with the covers up to our heads.
You came over to my house so we can watch Saturday morning cartoons my favorite was always tom&jerry and I know that I will be coming home soon because they are all gone by noon.

I crawl into a ball and give you a kiss on your sugar-coated lips because of the lucky charms you ate since waking up and coming over. at that moment I knew I could tell you it all.

I have never been here before, I assure you that I want more. I sat in my corner eating my fruity pebbles because I needed that high I needed that rush, I could not believe that you were no longer a crush.

We said a few words then on your face a glowing smile as I gave you the prize that I found at the bottom of the cereal box. in your eyes was a beautiful stare as we watched Saturday morning cartoons without a single care in the world and me calling you my girl
