Analysis of Wang Wei

The Jade Coach approaches
on a lonely moonbeam of light.
Red dust fills the doorway.

Adorn a red silk jacket.
Walk to the Jade Coach
on sixty year old bones--
and never look back.

Disappear beyond the mountains,
vanish into landscape--
"It never ends."

Return to the 10,000 things.
Journey back to the beginning.
The beginning is the end--
the end is unknown.

from "Whistling Past the Graveyard"
