Analysis of Deadlines

Rushing
Rushing
Rushing to get done
Piles of work that weigh a ton
I feel I’ll never get finished
My grades will slowly diminish
Left scrambling for success
I can never make true progress
I finish an assignment and another one appears
The work never disappears
The stress never clears
The deadline nears
Cramping work where I can
Wishing I could stick to a plan
It's due today
It's due today
The answers delay
My brain decays
Restarts
And I’m typing
Energy courses
And I’m swiping
My adrenaline carries
I hope Its enough
This work is extremely tough
I need it to sound like I know stuff
But the deeper I go
The less it shows
I’m burning out
Nothing left
I want to shout
I’m trying my best
But I’m cracking
Soon to be broken
My brain is racking
But words are left unspoken
I’ll never recover
Is what I’ve discovered
There’s a peace in it
The aftershock of the hit
No expectations
Or frustrations
Deadlines
Deadlines
What use are they
Soon enough they’ll go away
