Analysis of Stages
A tadpole wriggles, darts
beneath and through
a sparkling haze of bubbly
champagned water
babbling under glaze of sun,
steels itself to be ignored.
Softened but craving attention,
a kiss to turn it froggy,
it’s captured and licked,
tossed then aside,
swept then away to be
in anonymity and ubiquity
barely remembered.
