Analysis of Rights of the free
Aaron "Kru Juice" Veverka 1974 (Prince William, Virginia)
You preach no guns,
You claim to protect the people's interest,
Yet kill the innocent and young,
Under the guise of the people's innocence.
You are not evil nor hearts are dark,
Contrary to popular thought,
Your thoughts of Justice to an older time hark,
With deep ancient feelings wrought,
Of when people opposed the tyrant King,
The fiefdom under fierce opposition,
From the authoritarian flinging fire from slings,
And people dying under the weight of your leaders hesitation.
However the deeper thoughts and intentions must be felt,
If ever we are to move forward and evolve,
Do we subject the unborn and innocent with what we've been dealt,
And let the history continue to revolve,
Around the rich and the poor forever at odds,
Luxury and survival forever at war,
Allowing the rich to rule down nose and through nod,
And the poor suffer and want for more?
Both in truth are shackled with sin,
Their fathers passing their errors forward,
So that children, brothers, mother's and kin,
Must pay the Piper for their wanton desire untoward,
Protection becoming excuse for license,
Hereditary longevity rationalizes to defend,
So that they may propagate their ill sense,
Of stamping out their opposition without possibility of rescind.
Mayhaps both are pawns in a larger game,
Both watching the others selective strategic maneuvers,
To see the players behind the moves framed,
Always keeping the pieces moving so that they can never recover.
The victims are the ones never played,
The choiceless National,
Their voices never heard or intentions portrayed,
In this country we call free and rational.
