Analysis of As the Light Creeps In

As the light slowly creeps in, creasing over the darkness, flooding this room with a bright film, ever dauntless, different things previously forgotten, veiled by the void, now present in true color

They had been lost, almost left behind, overwhelmed by the emptiness,
this may not be the first time, nor maybe the last, it has all been numbed such before

The darkness may fall at such dull times, as the light is running out
it does not want you to find your way around,
you must search without

It despises the light, for it is a distraction,
leaving it in doubt
The light acts as a saving hand, one that may be overlooked if you're not steady
it overlaps the darkness, like the first breath after you have been treading underwater
However, much like the fight, the darkness may be bound to us, like shackles, they ache
And however much we can try, and how much light we let in, these shackles are hard to break
