Analysis of Where's Bob...

I put Bob in my suitcase.
 We traveled home last June.
The time will come to say goodbye
 I'll sing his favorite tune

I kept a portion for myself.
 As we traveled once again
I put him in a Ziplock bag
 He's so easy to contain

I've misplaced him several times.
 While moving here and there
 He continues disappearing
I'm not sure why or where

I know I'll find him soon
He always reappears
No doubt he will guide me
As I shed a few more tears

There's Bob …
 safe beside my bed
Someday soon, I'll take him out
For his final spread

We love and miss you, Bob!!

About this poem

I wrote this poem for my close friend Sue. Her husband, Bob from COVID a little over one year ago. Her grieving and healing journey has been a joy to be a part of. I'm proud of her strength and faith...and her sense of humor is so delightful to witness. Here's the journey of Bob's ashes...Enjoy
