Analysis of O my ladies

Shipra Verma 1968 (Sitamarhi)

O my ladies'
You've grown
Taller than me...

I still remember
Vividly, the day
I started breaking down

The tough stones
With all my might
And loosened out the soil

Then gently smoothened
The rows one by one
And dropped the seeds of hope...

And you sprouted with energy
Just sunshine and water
And you bore such healthy fruits

Four months have passed since
And never once I sneaked or flirted
With any other 'Lady' of the town...

But now I see the bunch of
jealous chillies besides you,
Sheepishly staring at
your might and height

They can never compete with you however
'Cause you are soft and gently vitaminous
Chillies laugh when my tears roll down.

I never loved you ladies so much before
But you've made a
safe place in my heart
Your memories shall make me smile ever !
