Analysis of If Depression Gets The Best Of Me

If depression gets the best of me, know it’s not your fault. Tell my family I love them and I will be watching from above. If depression gets the best of me, let the ones closest to me have their pick of my stuff. Let my teachers know I won’t be in class, and I’m sorry I didn’t do the homework. Don’t cry at my funeral because I am always by your side. If depression gets the best of me, tell my crush I like them and tell my bullies I forgive them. Tell my sister I’m sorry and my brother that I won’t be able to stay with him. Tell my church group I won’t be at church and my nephews that Auntie Gracie has gone to help the angles. Every butterfly you see, it’s me letting you know it will be ok. Every twinkle of a star is me waving from above. If depression gets the best of me, tell my story. Share my poetry and don’t let my legacy end.
