Analysis of Shortened Not Is The Lord's Hand

Stella Casson 1981 (Townsville)

Shortened not is the Lord’s hand
He can save you sinner, stand
Deafened not is the Lord’s ear
He can hear your prayers and tears.

But sin hides you from the Lord
Separates you from your God
Hides His face and shuts His ear
Stops you sinner drawing near.

Israel stood in her own light
Her fingers did not do right
Put a bar on her own door
From her lips deceit did pour.

No one called for justice fair
Pleaded for the truth or cared
Trusted empty words, their own
Hatched viper’s eggs, sin full blown.

Sinner do not be like them
Found their works could not clothe them
Spider webs can be seen through
Let the Lord’s work cover you.
