Analysis of Acceptance

Lawrence S. Pertillar 1947 (Connecticut)

Growing older has its benefits to experience,
Acceptance.
And what acceptance does,
For ones mental and physical health.
Done to know,
What is presented to witness and to observe.
May not be expected to prevent.
Yet closer older people get,
To not resent...
The proof of truth and the reality of it.
Just because what is hoped to wish,
Is not on God's list.
With this kept prioritized.
Acceptance to know this best.
Can make one's life to live,
Better than living in denial to delude...
What isn't there to believe yet pretend is.

Growing older one knows,
It is with prayer, faith and kept hope...
Is all one has,
To let go and leave it to God to fix...
That which is in the mind to accept,
And expect...
Will change!
Whether to like, dislike or not,
What comes to undo or do done!
