Analysis of Peep holes into the limitless
Matt darling 1980 (Brooklyn)
Late October
under the glow of the full moon, I lay there thinking. On the grass of sunset park, near the trees that shed their Auburn leaves.
Strong winds above make the trees sway back and forth in the night. Behind a deep blue canvas. The city glows with florescent whites and blinking reds.
They kept me apart. Distant from everything that I loved. The Canadian Forest at dusk, my love on the other side of a vast ocean of gravel lay under the glow of her full moon. Acquaintances in Nova Scotia, stalling, I imagine, with freshly made pasta and streaming loaves of hot bread.
Sitting up, hugging knees, beneath Aquarius and wilting grass, once removed from casual conversation. Feeling now the brisk and chill of night. Solitary, feet damp, conscious of my exposed mortality.
An irregular arousal of senses. Oh, how I loved the thrill of coursing vipers. The danger of it excited me. And though I was frightened, dismayed as I was, weighing out my liking and my fear. How consoling was each memory of my love that I grasped.
I sat, protecting my night. The glow from the full moon bathed me. My heart projecting me across the boarder into the arms of my love. Dear night, living wind, gorging lungs, keep moving do not stop, someday you'll walk amongst the clouds, omnipresent and no where at all. Peepholes into the limitless. The infinite comes now. The light soon approaches.
