Analysis of Moon on a starry Night

The world was in such a hurry , a constant dilemma ;
had a thousand things to make us worry , we were so short on stamina.
We weren’t ready to be alone, we weren’t prepared to deal with the pace;
We lost our homes, we fought against our own race.
Our lives turned into a lover’s quarrel , there was passion , there was love but it also became a chase for laurels.
I wasn’t ready for these gradual yet drastic changes ;
so I found a solution to all my problems ,  I found the key.
A captivatingly beautiful lady ,I hung tight , she was my oak tree;
awestruck by her charm , life was all glee
That is until I discovered seasonal winds could waver my oak’s loyalty.
Waiting was a horse ridden carriage, arrangements were made ;
And I , so irretrievably  in love with her , kept thinking she was running a late , god I felt so betrayed.
A storm rose inside of me , lightnings struck ;
But Heavy was my heart, weeping was my soul, Swollen were my eyes, and wounded I was as a whole.
I wouldn’t heal, maybe because the pain was my last link to what I had lost, I couldn’t let it go;
It was a sea of darkness ,  end of the tunnel had no light,
All until I saw a lifeboat in a red dress walking in the shadow of the night.
Came my saviour, the end to my plight ,
She took us higher than any kite and I love her more than I love the moon on a starry night .

About this poem

This poem is a depiction of the constant circle of love is. We meet someone, we start liking them, we might even fall in love but sometimes things aren't meant to be and people you love knowingly or unknowingly betray you. It doesn't mean it's the end of the world, someone else will come along and sweep you off your feet when you'd expect it the least and you will fall in love all over again.
