Analysis of Delusion
Once upon a time
he saw beauty
in his reflection.
Now, he walks
through fields of statues,
men and women
who tried to love him,
searching for a mirror
in the hope
that he can
put an end to this,
but the snakes
divert him
and guide him
to other potential lovers
whose touch
he’ll never know.
Where is the hero promised
to finish the monster?
Was that just
another lie
too?
