Analysis of Unsolved Questions

From time to time, I ponder,
On questions that make me wonder:
What is life without tomorrow?
What is love, if all it brings is sorrow?
If I lose my hopes, my dreams, my spiritual way of life,
am I lost, from whom can I borrow?
Is it all for naught, or have I forgot?
For all I've done, I can't outrun, the finality that follows.
Yet, my attempt for answers leads me to more questions,
Making my efforts meaningless and feeling shallow.
All my thoughts of control and doubt seem hollow.
And with my next breath, I will say that Jah is my infinite helper, so blessed; I endowed with only man's morals.
I could never ascend to heaven only based on my laurels.
From time to time, I ponder,
On questions that make me wonder,
But nothing is resolved,
And the questions remain unsolved.

About this poem

I wrote this poem in stages, from real questions that I gave thought to over the years from a young adult to an older individual. I just added what I believe will be the last verse: "By what law? Of works? No. but by the law of faith." Romans 3:27
