Analysis of How Much Longer?
Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)
How much longer will it be
Until we all wake up
The hours keep on slipping by
This world is so corrupt
I see the sun, the moon and stars
Still shouting out Your glory
But how much longer will it be
Until You end this story
I’m waiting and I’m watching
As You told me I should do
But still I cannot see the time
When we’ll all be changed too
A bright and glorious moment
In the twinkling of an eye
When we will all be caught up
To meet Jesus in the sky
O LORD I pray come quickly
I don’t say these words in haste
But I don’t want to be here
When You lay this world to waste
