Analysis of The Angels Cry
The angels feel heartened
Planting souls in heaven’s garden
They dislike missing opportunities
To sow seeds for eternity
That’s why the angels cry
When evil people die
I felt no one could save me
And then you came along
You were a dream but then it seemed
That I had read you wrong
You took me into darkness
Much deeper than mere pain
Your misery was smothering me
I was drowning in your rain
Your cruelty sent me reeling
Till I could take no more
On many days, you were so crazed
You’d knock me to the floor
I knew it had to finish
And there was just one way
’Cause I believed you’d never leave
But I couldn’t let you stay
The angels feel heartened
Planting souls in heaven’s garden
They dislike missing opportunities
To sow seeds for eternity
That’s why the angels cry
When evil people die
You pulled salt tears from angels
And my time will come, too
But the daisies brightening my garden now
Are all because of you

About this poem
Poems with a twist have always appealed to me. This one is dark, but there's a message in there.
