Analysis of Bleeding Heart

I thought it wouldn’t last but yet I hoped
Against I was at finding true love but yet I found you
True loves kiss turned a beast into a prince but yet yours turned me into a wounded beast
True love fairy tales were for dreamers, fools and suckers but yet with you I believed
I had no intentions or hidden agendas but I knew was you
A jealous lover I am, a jealous lover I became
There was nothing I could do as you chose to be with him and not me
Foolishly I hoped, I believed you were mine
For a brief moment I was yours and you were mine
You knew me and I, you
I knew your body, I knew your eyes and felt your soul
Your soft skin, warm breath, silky hair, cold touch, soft lips and beautiful scars
I held you close to mine and promised not to let you go but you did
He doesn’t know you like I do, like I did
He doesn’t see you like I do but yet you chose him
Words would fail to describe what we had, the excitement, and spontaneity of it all, the attraction and the feeling
You were made for me and I, you, we belong together
Being close to you was all I thought of
Standing next to you, I couldn’t help myself but pull you close
You left me with heart in hand
You took me to a place without fear
Hand in hand, you took me to a place to lose all fear
Reckless I was to follow you, in pain I am
It was paradise but now a war zone
I asked why you stayed with him after all the love we shared, after everything we felt
Out of respect, you said
So you stayed with him and left me to fall
It might be an impossible task but I will find myself again,
I will try, I keep trying
Good bye love, I pray I don’t cross paths with you again.
