Analysis of Circle of Friends

The fear of leaving the circle
causes the sweat glands to swell
and leave behind droplets
that has an odor to remind you
that its presence is near

The shame of knowing that the circle of
friends had been broken and wondering
what they would do now that your voice
was silent and gone

The heartache that it must carry around
knowing that I was the one that caused it

Now the all consuming loneliness that
interrogate the mind without any thoughts that
come from the circle of friends
to bring comfort to the underlying
disease that now hunts you

Will those left in the circle of friends
close the gap by moving closer together
to close the void and emptiness that you left

Will those left in the circle of friends
widen the gap by separating and spreading
farther apart while waiting and hoping for
your soon return to determine which
one of the friends in the circle
had broken your heart and caused you to leave?
