Analysis of Protection from What
Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)
Do not handle; do not touch
And don’t forget your gloves
But how then can we worship God?
And who are we to love?
Bacteria won’t make you sick!
Believing lies will do it!
And if you follow the ways of men
Then I’m sure that you blew it
Jesus did not fear the touch of lepers
And he could show it
By reaching out his unprotected hand
So, all would know it
He touched the man with leprosy
But it did not spread to him
Instead the man’s disease was cured
And God received praise through him
