Analysis of Angel Voice
Christopher Gordon Williams 1953 (Hobart)
Voice like an angel
Words & feelings in me gel,
Pure & dulcet tones
About true love does intone.
Clarity of thoughts & purpose
Not pure accidental prose,
From ascended mistresses chosen
To thaw a lover’s heart frozen.
Free from the Winter’s of disuse
Throw away the chains & let love loose,
Errors it is bound to make
To achieve its goal, time will take.
But is the end so near, so close?
Can I of the chase truly boast?
The end is near, oh so near,
Because you are here with me.
