Analysis of PLATYPUS
Duck Billed Platypus tell me, what ever are you
You're not just a creature that's found in a zoo
We know that you're Aussie thru and thru
But other than that, we haven't a clue
You're bill is so duck-like, you're webbed feet are too
But you don't swim on top like the other ducks do
You're furs like a mammal, but you lay eggs to
Platypus, platypus, what ever are you
For worms and for crayfish you grub in the goo
On you're claw there's are poison
For threats against you
Your family? The Echidna, there's only you two

About this poem
I was boasting to my daughter that I could write a poem about any animal, the more unusual the better, and she said "okay, how about the platypus?" Took a while, but this is what I came up with:
