Analysis of Delight in His Will
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
Bless those who make the Lord his trust,
Who is turning away from pride;
And that has gone astray after lust,
Then repenting as they abide.
Many have multiplied over years,
Of His wondrous deeds and His thought;
None can compare as one reveres,
Proclaiming all that He has taught.
In the sacrifice and offering,
He has given an open ear;
Delighted to give buffering,
To all of those who will show fear.
I have come to scroll through the book,
That He wrote as the Book of Life;
For I wanted to take a look,
If it includes me in my strife.
I always delight in His will,
As His Law is within my heart;
Because they constantly instill,
Never will they ever depart.
I have told you of the glad news,
Of righteousness and not restrained;
Deliverance your right to choose,
A morality be retained.
I have not hidden righteousness,
Deliverance concealed in my heart;
And have spoken of faithfulness,
The steadfast love as to impart.
