Analysis of I'm a robot

Hasan Johnson 1980 (Peoria Illinois)

I'm just supposed to work until I die
I'm a robot
That's the truth, that ain't no lie
I ain't supposed to care about nothing or no one I'm just supposed to go on and on and on
Something like a slave but at least I get paid even though the bills spend the money before it's made
I'm a robot
Can't nothing hurt me!
No need to go to the emergency room for surgery
I don't have a heart
Ain't nothing I care about
I'm supposed to just work until I die because I'm a robot
If I get dirt on me who cares
If I feel life is unfair
If I'm misused and abused and mistreated it don't matter, at least not to me
Because if I was a man I'd be filled with grief thinking about the way people have treated me
But I'm a robot built to endure
Problem is my external residue has began to affect my inner core
Time for an upgrade
Maybe some new shoes or maybe a new hard drive to take away the blue's
Cause a robot don't have feelings
There's no pulse when you touch my hands
I wasn't designed to be loved or give love in return
I was designed for a job
I was placed here to serve
I'm a robot
