Analysis of Bridges

I can't seem to cross the bridge of loathing
Looking ahead
I can see the lengths of it being too tedious
An unnecessary distance thus leading to an unwanted place

A place where anger employed us
Our job being the fulfillment of resent for one another
Hatred protruding in our hearts
Just waiting... Waiting for our sanity to combust

When it does
The outcome clings to suspense
One that is dangerously leaning into the bad side

So I settled for the waters beneath the bridge
Diving straight into the unknown dimension
Finding comfort in the difficulty it brings
The challenges of understanding one another

Instead of settling for war cries and belittling behavior
Let's rather swim through the awkward currents
Common sense giving us a boost to a better mannerism
Only then will we arrive to wanted places

About this poem

This piece is about one of the journies through life. In this pathway ties may be cut and lessons are learnt. It is important however to have a heart of kindness through it all.
