Analysis of When god held me with his thoughts

Heather Lydia Thornhill 1981 (Manchester)

God looked down from the heavens
And thought upon my soul
And wondered whether to take me
Before I'd reached my goal
For I was plagued with doubt and utter fear of helleth wrath
And all my earthly clout
Was ridiculed, at best - a laugh
And nought but one last angel still was truly full of heart
For all had turned their backs on me and left me in the dark
He thought he'd send protection through his messages on wind
To make me see how special my whole life had been to spend
So as I reviewed my memory and poetry anew
The angels all returned to me
And watched me as I drew;
As I drew out more verses than the world had ever knew.
And painted like an artist with an eye for detail too
Astounding my soul family and then my love, it grew.
And when the light surrounded me and I slept like a babe, I whispered back I love you and heard clear I love you too.
