Analysis of Ukraine Perspective

Andrew Jimenez 2005 (Albuquerque)

Walking down the street,
its been a week since I’ve seen my uncle Pete,
a week ago there were practice sirens,
after that there was silence,
then the bombs came,
the Russian government is putting my people to blame,
their claim of self-defense,
but we all know that claim made no sense,
It was about 4:30 am,
when I heard the bam,
I heard people begin to scram,
damn...,
There goes all my lamb,
I go outside and breathe in the air,
I’m chocking their dust and rumble in my diaphragm,
I’m looking around and all I see is a huge traffic jam,
now their people need my help,
when all I wanted was a lousy piece of bread and jam,
I see a woman crying in the street and I yell out ma'am,
I see Russians at her door with a battering ram,
boom I hear another bomb,
some kid just lost their mom,
the government is telling us to be calm,
I must be in a sitcom,
cause everyone panicking like they got a time bomb,
this stuff is reminding me of Vietnam,
I just hope I don’t see an atom bomb.
