Analysis of Poetic Tragedy
O, how this world has fallen.
We cry for safety, yet where art thou?
Buried within the mire of deceit and shame,
Are we afraid of the light?
Surely our deeds have manifested such a time as this,
Confusion and disarray are the virtues of all,
Where is thy redemption?
For all things will change, indeed.
As certainly as it began, it will end.
Appointed for a day and for an hour,
Not one stone shall remain upon another.
The wisdom of man is no more,
And only the Light will remain.
Behold, as an hour of timelessness draws near.
Victory shall become Truth.
Bondage and decay, forsaken for Glory.
No longer a mere hopeful desire,
But a reality, in the presence of hope Himself.
Surely you know the dawn is soon approaching.
Past is the midnight hour and the Son is nearing the horizon.
Listen, clouds we'll soon embrace on the day of His voice,
Prepared for the grand reception,
The great, I do.
