Analysis of Desire

Your heart outshines everything
All the light, near and far
You set yourself on fire for others
But how many would burn for you?
My love for you is like the stars
It cannot be measured but it's still there,
Even when your world is crumbling to ashes
It'll show you the way out of the flames,
You'd never have to knock on these doors to my heart
Just walk in whenever you want,
And I'll always respond
Sing to me your unheard songs,
Let's make melodies of our own
I am closer to you than you think,
After all that I am willing to do
You're nowhere to be seen,
I know this body doesn't deserves anything
Yet my heart still desires,
Is it too much to ask for a person
Who'll be your shelter from the rain,
Who'll hold your candle once it starts to burn your skin
Who'll hold your hand when it reaches out for them,
Who looks in your eyes
And see the despair you're holding back,
Is it too much
To ask for you?

Stranger

I wasn't into poetry before I started telling blank pages my feelings. I like to refer myself as "Stranger" more…
