Analysis of Request for Prayer
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
Pray that the Word of the Lord,
May speed ahead with honor;
To remain in one accord,
Always being a fawner.
Be delivered from evil,
In free course and glorified;
That your faith avoids the devil,
And think of the crucified.
Because faithful is the Lord,
Guarding you against Satan;
Never let it be ignored,
Stay on the path to strengthen.
Have confidence in the Lord,
While following His will;
Avoid the flaws that He cured,
By His Word told to instill.
May the Lord direct your heart,
In the steadfast love of Christ;
Be patient not to depart,
For earthly things that enticed.
