Analysis of Til you

Jeannie 1964 (Shreveport)

Til you,
My heart had lost its smile …
It lost the ability to see,
The rays of sun, that you feel,
 on a warm summers day..
Til you,
Life had come to a standstill,
It had lost all meaning…
Heartache and tears,
Only time to kill…
Til you,
I didn’t believe,
My heart, would ever feel again..
It was only then,
That it was because,
Of you..
Your voice whispering,
I also love you…
Whispering in the wind.

About this poem

My husband passed in 2021. I was devastated and I Thought I’d never love again. But it’s amazing how life shows you the most beautiful surprises sometimes. Because I’ve met someone that has given my heart a reason to smile again.

Jeannie

Mother of two wonderful daughters. One grandson and granddaughter on the way. I love poetry. I love romance. I love being married to that one man who still, after years of marriage, can cause my heart to flutter more…
