Analysis of Sea Dream
Kate Pilkington 1984 (Cheltenham)
Life is like water drops wobbling on a Lotus leaf,
Short lived & uncertain, like the dew on Fern tips
Every time I go to bed, an image of you flickers in my head.
Every time I fall asleep, an image of you flows in my dreams
And I can hope for a life that is to come.
A trail of seashells beckon me to the shore
Each one a memory, each one I explore
We walk hand in hand, digging our toes into the sand
Crying with laughter, we plan our happily ever after,
Eating Pasties by the sea, my forever you will be.
